The three-year contract, the value of which has not been announced, will see AMEC call upon its full range of skills and expertise to provide services against specific tasks nominated by URENCO.
The contract will be operated from a number of locations in the UK and Clive White, Vice President of AMEC's nuclear business, said: “This is a very important contract for a major player in the UK nuclear industry and will help develop our position as a leading provider at the front end of the nuclear cycle, to complement our strong position in reactor support and clean up.
“In addition to bringing our renowned and established nuclear expertise to bear in this contract we will also be able to call upon the full range of capabilities throughout AMEC to ensure we give a world-class service to our customer.”
AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has been awarded its first major contract by URENCO UK Ltd to provide a full range of nuclear services.
